CONTENT CREATION

I managed content within social media accounts, pitching, developing, and producing content on Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and TikTok, resulting in an increase in follower growth and engagement. Below are some posts and promotional materials I've created for different accounts.

During my time at Pinkston, I contributed to the company’s social media presence by creating and managing a range of content, including engaging reels, eye-catching graphics, and culture-focused posts. My work was centered on enhancing Pinkston’s online identity and fostering connections with its audience. Leveraging trending audio, relevant hashtags, and visually appealing designs, I developed reels that showcased company culture and highlighted key projects, resonating with both clients and potential recruits.

These efforts led to measurable results, including a significant increase in engagement rates across Instagram and Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Reels produced achieved an average engagement rate of 18% higher than prior video content, while culture-focused posts sparked meaningful interactions, such as comments and shares, showcasing the team’s creativity and collaboration.

@americanualum

While assisting with the @americanualums Instagram page, I contributed to creating engaging content that bridged the gap between the current student body and alumni community. My responsibilities included writing captions that aligned with the university's voice, capturing photos and videos to highlight events and campus life, and ensuring the content resonated with alumni while staying on par with current social media trends.

During my time with American University’s School of Communication (AU SOC) Outreach Office, I focused on designing graphics for their social media platforms, specifically to promote their podcast, Media in the Mix, and various AU SOC events. My work included creating visually engaging content tailored to highlight the podcast’s key themes, guest speakers, and new episodes, as well as event promotion materials that aligned with the school’s branding and messaging.

@stoolamerican @americanuchicks

As part of Barstool Sports’ Viceroy Program, I managed and created content for @stoolamerican and @americanuchicks, the Barstool-affiliated accounts for American University. My primary focus was on producing TikToks and video reels that captured the energy and humor synonymous with the Barstool brand while tailoring content to resonate with the AU community.

By leveraging trending sounds, relatable campus humor, and creative editing techniques, I created videos that consistently engaged followers and encouraged shares within the university network. These efforts led to a 150% increase in follower growth within two months, significantly expanding the accounts’ reach and presence. Additionally, individual posts saw substantial engagement, with likes, shares, and comments often doubling the previous averages, showcasing the effectiveness of well-crafted, culturally relevant content.

@pcaob_news

During my internship at the PCAOB, I managed content creation for the organization’s X (formerly Twitter) account, @pcaob_news, and its LinkedIn page. My focus was on delivering professional, engaging posts that aligned with the PCAOB’s mission of promoting audit quality and public trust. Content included corporate announcements, regulatory updates, industry-relevant news, and thought leadership pieces designed to inform and engage key stakeholders.

 

By crafting clear, concise copy and pairing it with visually appealing graphics, I enhanced the visibility and reach of PCAOB’s updates. On Twitter, my efforts resulted in a 14% increase in engagement rates, as measured by retweets, likes, and link clicks, while LinkedIn posts saw a 27% uptick in impressions and follower interactions during my tenure. These gains demonstrated the effectiveness of consistent, well-targeted content in fostering audience engagement in a professional, corporate setting.
